I'm so excited to begin this new chapter as an Aesthetic Nurse at The Face Studio!
I recently graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing after previously earning both my Bachelor of Science and MBA in Healthcare Management from Southeast Missouri State University.
I have been an esthetician since 2021, earning my Laser Technician certification at the end of 2021. From there, I worked as a licensed medical esthetician and laser technician in St. Louis for St. Louis University- Department of Cosmetic Dermatology.
My passion has always been helping others feel confident, healthy, and cared for, and I'm thrilled to combine my love for patient care with the exciting world of aesthetic medicine. I'm looking forward to building meaningful relationships with my patients and helping them achieve their aesthetic and wellness goals in a safe, personalized, and welcoming environment.
When I'm not at work, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, spoiling my three-legged dog, exploring new restaurants and shops, or enjoying the outdoors. I can't wait to meet everyone and be a part of your journey!

The delicate skin around the eyes is often one of the first areas to show signs of aging. Inspired by patients’ interest in medically supervised treatments that complement their eye care, Dr. Megan Smith and The Eye Studio team created The Face Studio - an extension of the practice focused on skin health, confidence, and overall well-being.
Here, Aesthetic Nurse Kara Kassel takes a personalized approach to care, tailoring treatments to your skin concerns and aesthetic goals while maintaining the high standards patients expect from The Eye Studio.
